Some people go back to school, but I went back to nature. Last year, I answered a volunteer call from Edith Allen Wildlife Sanctuary to help with fawn rehabilitation, and I was instantly hooked. There’s something incredible about earning the trust of wild animals, knowing you’re helping them return to their home. Now I’m working as a wildlife rehabilitation apprentice at Edith Allen, learning every day and helping care for everything from baby opossums to squirrels and more. A new incubator would be a huge support during this journey—keeping vulnerable babies safe and warm while they heal. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to be entrusted with these little lives and to be part of this meaningful work.
