Heather L.
Heather has been caring for hurt and abandoned animals pretty much all of her life. She's a military spouse and a stay at home mommy, originally from a small town in Northern California where she spent her time surrounded by animals on a small family farm. When the military moved her family to Texas, Heather met Susan, a wildlife rehabber doing a fundraiser at a local PetSmart. Heather wanted to help however she could and this seemed like the perfect fit given her background with animals and veterinary technician training. Ever since that meeting, Heather has been working around the clock to care for animals of many different species. She loves being able to save the lives of animals who would not have had a chance on their own. She says that it's immensely rewarding to release these animals back into the wild. She feels like this is what she was meant to do, and she wants to expand her knowledge and abilities to give the best possible chance to the animals in her care.
