Jennifer B.

$689 of $689 raised

In September 2014, Jennifer was at an event where Carolina Waterfowl Rescue was set up. She learned about the organization and the work they do. It wasn't until April of 2016 that Jennifer was finally ready to help. She reached out to them about volunteering and as some would say, the rest is history. She started as a shift volunteer and quickly moved up to Shift Leader and continued to get more involved with assisting in the rehab of the animals. Jennifer has been very involved in the baby songbird bird program and not only helps at the rescue but she also assists with baby birds in her home. She also volunteers as an after-hours drop sight for injured, ill, or abandoned animals that need to go to the rescue, which usually involves needing to put them in an incubator to keep warm overnight until she can take them to the rescue the next morning. Jennifer continually learns about animals through volunteering for the rescue and says that she enjoys it so much.
