As a little girl, I always had a huge heart for animals—especially wildlife. I would cry at the sight of roadkill because I couldn’t stand the thought of an animal suffering or being forgotten. That compassion has stayed with me my entire life.

Growing up in a family of trappers also shaped my journey. When orphaned or injured babies were brought home, caring for them showed me how vulnerable wildlife truly is and how much of a difference one person can make. That’s when I knew rehabilitation was something I wanted to pursue.

I’m doing this to make my younger self proud and to give injured and orphaned wildlife a second chance. I’m also pursuing college classes in biology to strengthen my knowledge and provide the best care possible.
