The Kentucky Wildlife Center began in 2006, in Karen's dining room of her house. In 2014, the center expanded into an abandoned garden center on Leestown Road. Since that time, they have continued to grow, and their determination to help Kentucky native wildlife, to provide community outreach, and to assist other wildlife rehabilitators has become central to their motivation. Last spring they announced a move to the Equine Business Center at 4270 Georgetown Road in Lexington. This new location has enabled Karen and her team to expand their existing operations as well as provide more robust community outreach programs.
