I have always been a huge animal lover since I was a little girl! Any injured animal I would come across I tried to help in any way I could. The reason started rehabbing is back In 2024 the tree service company my brother was working for cut down a tree that had a squirrel nest with three little babies. When the mom didn’t come back for them my brother boxed up the whole nest with the babies and brought them to me. At the time I had no experience with squirrels but the babies were only 4 weeks old. Their eyes were closed, barely any fur and they were very dehydrated! I decided from that day forward that I wanted to help all the baby squirrels who were orphaned or injured. I did research and found rehabbers to mentor me. After lots of learning and many long nights of feedings I had successfully rehabbed and raised my first wildlife babies! January 2025 I reached out to Wild at Heart Rescue and became a volunteer. Since then I have had many opportunities to help other animals in need of care and it has been such a rewarding journey!
