I grew up with my love for animal care being flourished by my mom with domestic rescue, with a few wildlife captures, mainly hawks in busy roads, being mixed in there. Once I was older, there wasn’t going to be path for me that didn’t involve animals in a large capacity. I originally got into wildlife rehabilitation as my first job out of college, but quickly fell in love with the impact we can make on each patient's individual life and outcome. These are animals that come to us in varying degrees of severity, and giving them a place to rest, heal, and learn to be wild is the most rewarding part of what we do. For me, it's a way that we can help mitigate the human influence and impact that wildlife is being ever presented with, it’s a little way we can give back to nature that’s given us so much.
