I have always had a big heart for animals, and while working at a veterinarian’s office in my 20s, I learned many skills to care for sick and injured animals. I was also a volunteer at an exotic animal sanctuary which rescued exotic pets once kept as pets and gave them a peaceful, safe home where they were used to educate the public in more natural habitats.

I have always been one to help wayward domestic pets, be it a paralyzed orphaned kitten or a senior dog running down the highway, but I have recently been able to start helping wildlife with the guidance of local rehabilitators. I am a formal assistant for a large local wildlife rehabilitator, and I am in the process of getting my formal wildlife rehabilitator’s license so I can expand my operation and take in more animals.

I especially enjoy and excel and helping young orphaned babies and love seeing them grow and get released back into the wild.
