I have always loved wildlife and wanted to incorporate that love into my retirement plan. (I hope to retire in the very near future!) I began volunteering at my local wildlife rescue two years ago and became a rehabilitator apprentice. I deal with all different wildlife at the rescue (we even have monkeys, a pot-bellied pig, and two alligators!), but my passion is opossums! I have rescued, rehabbed, and released numerous opossums over this last year, and it is so wonderful to know that I have helped them grow into healthy adults who will be successful on their own (and hopefully have their own babies!). Words cannot express the wonderful feeling of pride and accomplishment I feel when I am able to successfully release the babies that I've helped! I have borrowed incubators in the past, but having one readily available for these babies would be instrumental for their optimal success! Thank you for your consideration!
