Mollie has always been passionate about helping animals who are in need. About five years ago she found a baby squirrel with a punctured lung in her backyard. Unfortunately it didn’t make it due to the severity of its injuries. Fastforward a year later, during hurricane Irma. Mollie's house is surrounded by huge pine trees and during hurricane Irma her husband heard something crying so without hesitation Mollie went into rescue mode despite the fact there were 60+ mph winds whipping pine trees around like they were nothing. Three baby squirrels had been blown out of their nest. One was already dead, another with a severe head injury, who also didn’t make it and the third one who was cold, wet and scared to death. Mollie immediately contacted the rehabber who helped her for a short time with the previous rescue and she walked Mollie through raising the lone survivor of hurricane Irma. She named her Stormy and successfully raised and released her back into the wild. That was the start of Mollie's rehabbing passion and she has been helping babies ever since.
