I became a rehabber because I thought I was saving a baby raccoon in the road. In reality she literally saved me. I didn’t take the time to educate myself and did it all wrong. While she was busy saving my life I was ruining hers and didn’t know it. In the end it destroyed me to know I caused harm to something I loved so much. I never wanted to do that again. I just wanted to help. The right way.
