One night I let my dogs outside, but made noise first to warm the groundhogs around my yard. The opossum mom didn’t get the message and my dogs chased her and her babies. I gathered up the babies and took them to a rehabber the next day. Seeing the rehabber so cool and calmly picking up the babies and identifying their gender/sex was awe inspiring. I decided after that moment that caring for wildlife would be amazing and something I could totally do! We have such amazing creatures in this world and I’m definitely the type of person who loves to love on all god’s creatures. Even the “unloved” ones!
