I began volunteering with squirrel rescue during one of the most difficult periods of my life, following a family trauma. An acquaintance encouraged me several times to learn how to care for orphaned baby squirrels, and at first I repeatedly declined. Eventually, I agreed to give it a try—and it completely changed my life.What started as helping a few tiny animals quickly became a passion and a purpose. Caring for vulnerable baby squirrels gave me something positive to focus on when I was struggling with depression. Watching these fragile animals grow stronger and eventually return to the wild reminded me that life continues to move forward, even after hardship. It also reinforced my belief that every life, no matter how small, is worth saving. Today, I am dedicated to giving orphaned and injured squirrels the best chance at survival. An incubator is a critical piece of equipment for young squirrels, providing the warmth and stability they need during their most vulnerable stages of life.
