I have always had a love for animals, and have wanted to work with wildlife for as long as I can remember, but I wanted to wait until I had reached a point in life where I would be able to dedicate the amount of time and put in the work to give each animal the best possible chance at survival and eventually release back into the wild. The time came where my children had reached the age where they had became pretty independent, I bought my own home, and knew that after 11 years of being a nurse that my career is stable. So I started looking into the requirements for becoming a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in my state, I signed up for the exam and studied hard and passed it. After that I gradually started taking in animals and gained the confidence and knowledge to care for different species, and last year my sister who is also licensed, teamed up with me and we started Two Sisters Wildlife Rescue and it’s been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life.
